His fingers just brush the enormous nose of the Kaiju in front of him. He is ever so slightly backlit, giving him a soft glow, while the Kaiju is all harsh and sharp in the sunlight. No one knows how the boy survived the attack – just that he did; with only a peculiar scar on his forehead to show for it. He became the symbol for hope to the entire human race.
