Sign ups close Saturday June 8th. The timeline of the entire challenge can be found here.

There are 2 kinds of sign ups; this is for those looking to be matched up into a partnership or group. If you already have a complete group, please sign up for the group sign ups.

One of the questions below asks “How much interaction would you ideally like with your partner, on a scale from 1 to 5?” where 1 is minimal interaction and 5 is frequent contact. Here are some examples of what that interaction might look like:
1 - initial discussions of favorite fandoms and tropes, but only sharing status reports/drafts and final products after that point, mostly at check-ins.
3 - discussions of fandoms and tropes, discussion of any particular method to optimize the text for audio, suggestions and feedback given as a beta reader/listener. Communicating a couple of times a week.
5 - highly collaborative throughout the entire process, with the podficcer(s) providing input on story ideas or making suggestions of what should happen next, with the writer(s) giving input on the direction or mood of the performance, and with both giving lots of encouragement and feedback. Communicating almost daily.

Fandoms:

DC Universe — mixed canons. Familiar with comic-verse (prefer pre-Flashpoint continuity), Young Justice, Flarrowverse, and DCEU Shazam. Willing to research other canons with enough notice and willing to throw canons in a blender to make something we like more. Highly prefer no ships or canon ships. Strong inclination towards found-family fic surrounding the Batkids or teen heroes, anything with the Flash Family and/or the Rogues, and modern-era Shazam. I would probably die if someone were willing to work on 2006/pre-Flashpoint fic surrounding the Jaime Reyes version of the Blue Beetle.

Kingdom Hearts — Prefer no ships/gen but love all the characters and their friendship dynamics!

My Hero Academia — Gen, canon ships, and Toshinko are always fun!

MCU — Team Cap Friendly, please! OK with canon ships but with a gen preference. Not interested in noncanon ships. Favorite main characters are Sam Wilson, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Clint Barton, Peter Parker, and T’Challa, but willing to write any of the main movie casts except for Captain Marvel and her cast, as I haven’t seen the film.

Psychonauts — Gen or light Sasha/Milla OK.

Fire Emblem Awakening — Gen preference, but ships are negotiable.

Fire Emblem Fates — Gen preference, but ships negotiable. Will NOT write/read Corrin/Nohr & Hoshido royalty, as they are siblings/adopted siblings. Most familiar with Birthright, but willing to research other routes!

Newsies — Gen or canon ships.

FFXV — Gen/canon ships, most familiar with Core Four.

Tales of Arcadia/Trollhunters/3 Below — Gen/canon ships.

Are you willing to be assigned to more than one group?: Yes, one as a fic writer, one as a reader.

Are you ok with having more than one writer/podficcer in the group?: Would prefer to write solo but am more than happy to participate in multi-voice recording, write for multi-voice readers, or read for cowriters.

Are you interested in less-traditional-to-podfic formats?: I would love to read for radio play format, poetry, or filk formats in addition to typical prose. I’d prefer to avoid meta. As a writer, I’m willing to experiment with radio play format.

Would you like the mods to email you important updates when they are posted to the comm?: Yes, please!

How much interaction would you ideally like with your partner, on a scale from 1 to 5?: Anywhere between 2-5 as suits partner preference.

Additional Comments: I will not write or read NSFW. I’ve got a strong gen preference — if that becomes difficult for mods to match, I don’t mind holding back for this round. I want everyone to be able to work on something that they love!
