Party Favor Partner Finder Post!

With an impressive 10 projects fully posted already and significant interest in Party Favors, the time has come for this post!

For those who aren't familiar with Party Favors, here are the posts of Party Favors from the past two years and here's the info from the FAQ:

[A Party Favor] is a no-commitment extra project that can be submitted and posted on the last day. Party Favors have no word minimum, no pressure or commitment, and are made completely outside the bounds of the challenge, until the day they show up in our inbox as a delightful surprise! The last day to submit Party Favors is the day before the end of the posting schedule, which will be August 27th.

So basically, Party Favors are all you. You don't need to let us know if you're doing one, you don't need to let us know if you're dropping out of one, you don't need to follow any rules except that the project is explicitly created for audio. It can be done by a single person writing and podficcing, or by a team of two or more.

If you'd like a Party Favor partner, you're welcome to look on your own on twitter or by contacting partners you dream of working with or by any other method. But you're also welcome to use this post to announce your interest in Party Favors and ask for a volunteer to work with you. Historically, everybody who has put out a call in posts like these has found a partner!

Important note from your weirdly self-competitive mod: Last year we had 61 main projects and 8 Party Favors, for a total of 69. This year, we have 58 main projects. A mere 11 Party Favors will get us to tie with last year's total, and 12 or more will get us to beat it! Not that this matters to anyone but me! But! Wouldn't that be cool, if every year of pod_together had more projects than the last, for 4 years running? :D?

Podficcer looking for a writer

I have some notions of doing something in a smaller fandom; Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, some kind of video game fandom maybe.

Otherwise if you have an idea that involves awesome ladies, I'm there! I'm pretty flexible and familiar with most of the big fandoms.

Happy to read prose or poetry or sing.

Edit: actually if anyone wants to write me a monologue to read in any fandom I would be incredibly happy.

What are your thoughts and feelings regarding a monologue by a female Community character that comments on problematic elements of how women are depicted on that show? (I gave up after season 3, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that these issues weren't magically resolved later on.) Or something similar with Teen Wolf, like all the dead ladies congregating to drink whiskey and mock their survivors' manpain? I would love to write a monologue for a two-dimensional female video game character giving her more complexity and in the process illustrating the problems with her original portrayal, but I don't think I'm enough of a gamer to do that concept justice.

Here's an idea: You wrote this fluffy get-together fic, but this smutty sex scene is floating around in your brain. Write it down, I'll make smooth love to your words!

I prefer working on Supernatural, Inception, WtNV, Percy Jackson, mythology and Marvel fandoms, also original fiction is just fine!

Other fandoms, you'll have to help me with how the characters sound like.

I'm excited!!

(Note: I am going to enter a no-internet zone on Monday the 4th (*shudders*), but am going to return on Friday (yay!).)

Edit: Since I'd love to work with another podficcer, how about someone out there write a phone conversation? *eyeflutter*

Hey, *scampers over from LJ land* for some reason I thought to give this party favour thing a try, and you seem to touch the right corner stones, maybe we can work something out? (I'd be open to try the phone thing in an experimental way *g*) i gotta work all day, so we'll probably miss each other until you go off the interwebz, but it's no hurry.
