Pod Together 2014!

Spring is finally arriving for your mods in the northern hemisphere, so that means it's time to start prepping for this year's challenge!

Here's the timeline for this year's challenge:

Individual Sign Ups Open: May 24
Group Sign Ups Open: May 31
All Sign Ups Close: June 7
Assignments for Individual Sign Ups Go Out: June 8
Ice Breaker Week: June 9-13
Check In #1: June 22
Check In #2: July 6
Written Component Due: July 13
Check In #3: July 27
Deadline for Early Podfic Submission: August 3
All Podfics Due: August 6
Posting Starts: August 9

We've opened sign ups a little bit earlier than last year, to allow podficcers a few extra days and to help ensure posting wraps up a bit earlier in the year.

We've also added a "soft" deadline for projects, which we'll explain in more detail when we post the revised rules. But basically, if you get your project in by that deadline, your project will have an earlier posting date.

Is everyone as excited and ready to go as your mods!?

P.S. If you want a chance to warm up, pt_lightning (like a mini Pod Together round) is running in May and currently open for sign ups.

Is there going to be a social post for people looking for group partners? I thiiiiiink I remember smth like it from last year, but I'm not sure. XD

We're not going to have a post like that for group sign-ups, but we will have one later on for Party Favors. And if you specify the kind of thing you're looking for in individual sign-ups, I promise to do my very best to find you the perfect match :)

Hmm, okay, then I'll look on my own. The thing is, apart from one or two big ones I'm mostly interested in writing smaller fandoms right now, and I wouldn't want to put matching me based on ~that on anyone. ;)

Well, matchups are part of my job as mod, and I love the challenge! I'd say sign up with your small fandoms, and I bet I can find you something. And if I can't, I'll go shopping around to see if I know anybody interested those fandoms who is willing to sign up just to work with you—I've done that for people before :)

Okay, then I shall give it a go. I've got some modding under my belt myself and try not to make people's jobs in that regard any harder than they have to be, but if you put it like that... XD Thanks!

Heh, glad to know I'm not the only one who does that. I've totally altered how I sign up for challenges to make it easier on the mods out of sympathy.

But that said, klb is a master pod together match maker and one of the things we love is getting people that good match, so don't worry about us. :)
