Check in #2
Jul. 1st, 2011 06:34 pmHello amazing authors and performers,
The deadline is 9 days away, and it's time for our second and final check-in. This check-in is mandatory and can be done via comment or email.
This time the comments aren't screened, so that you'll be able to read and celebrate each other's progress, and so you can make sure you and your partner are on the same page. If you have any questions or concerns that you'd like to address to the mods privately, feel free to email us. We're here to support you in any way we can, so please keep us in the loop about any potential issues that we may be able to help out with—the sooner you let us know, the more likely we'll be able to find you a solution.
While we didn't originally set deadlines for when fic needs to be done, authors should be finished with their stories by Sunday at the latest, to give podficcers sufficient time, unless they and their partner have spoken about it and agreed on a different deadline. If there are any authors who have not yet begun writing, we recommend keeping your story as close as possible to the 1000-word minimum. There are all sorts of creative and fun things you can do in 1000 words (and if you're stuck on ideas, feel free to email and I'll be happy to help you brainstorm), so don't panic. But do make sure you communicate with your partner and with us over the next few days, so that everybody is supported and knows what's going on.
Happy pod_togetherness and good luck. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
