Posting Schedule

Here's the posting schedule. Participants aren't actually required to do anything the day of, since the mods will reveal the work on AO3 (which you should have set up before the reveal day) and then we'll make an announcement over here once the works for the day are live.

This also means that Party Favors are due August 31st with posting on September 1st, for anyone thinking about participating that way.

Then participants are invited to crosspost their work wherever they want.

Note: Some groups had additional names listed on their group project, but I couldn't tell how they had participated, so I've stuck to the names that have signed up. If you let me know, I'll add that info to this post.

I'd highly suggest to everyone that you have clear indications within the work's notes who was the author and who was the podficcer. As it stands now it's not really clear in the majority of the works.

If anyway wants to change their podfic files, or wants to add cover art and have it hosted with their project files, you can email those changes to the mod email up to 48 hours before your reveal (reveals will be happening around 7am EDT).

So far we've had 324,203 words and 25:20:37 worth of podfic turned in! And we definitely have more podfic on the way (probably at least ~10 hours more) and we've heard a lot of people talking about doing party favors, so who knows how much we'll end up with!

Yay first day!

We have cover art that electricmonk333 made; presently i'm hosting it on photobucket (it's embedded in the story on AO3). I didn't know that hosting it with the audio files is a possibility.

Well, I've been hosting it for those that want a place to host. It's also possible to attach the cover art to the actual audio files, I'm not sure if your files already have that, but I can check it out tonight. If they're not I'll grab the pic from your work, attach and reupload. :)

Any news from AO3 on the streaming links Paraka?

I'm still emailing back and forth with AO3. /o\

Apparently their legal team is questioning whether or not they can simply host the Google player, like they were originally planning. Possibly they're planning on building their own, but that's not going to be done in time for us.

I'm pushing to have them white list one of my sites (the podfic.com link) so then we can have something that works, and the liability isn't on AO3 but they seem hesitant. There was also mention of them hosting the player for now, but changing it later? But that would result in more broken podfic links in the future.

Anyway, I think they'll be making a decision sometime today as to what they're going to do? But it's going to be right down to the wire it looks like.

I just got an email saying that they're going to whitelist podfic.com, so we'll be able to use the player hosted there. \o/

Of course, that means all the streaming links I emailed to everyone are wrong, but it shouldn't be that big of a deal to fix them.
