Qui-Gon Jinn decides to call in the assistance of his estranged master to monitor his padawan while he goes off on another mission. That one decision changed quite a few things, starting when Master Dooku is called out to deal with a situation on the minor planet Galidraan.

“Static… electricity,” he says.
Zuko bursts out laughing.
